Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer
I took a personal day to recover from my busy weekend (wedding, Eddie Izzard, taking care of my grandmother). Since I had no real plans, I spent the day doing unimportant things I would normally not get a chance to do any other time.
Some things I realized today:
1. Getting up at 11 feels really good, but I wouldn’t want to do it every day.
2. Drew Carey is no Bob Barker, but he’s not awful.
3. Mr. Mom never gets old, and Michael Keaton is fecking sexy.
4. I still rock at Simpson’s Road Rage on Game Cube.
5. Verizon is mean and wouldn’t let me get my new phone 20 days early.
6. Even early in the day when it’s not too crowded, I still don’t have the patience to shop in Century 21, bargain or no bargain.
7. My dog sleeps so much during the day!
8. Iced coffee tastes better when I’m drinking it while driving in my air-conditioned car, and not sitting at my desk at work.
