I would like to see Wall-E this weekend, but I need some help first.

I need to know if there is a Dumbo’s mom moment* in the movie. If there is, please email me at mallisser dot tumblr at gmail dot com to let me know.

From all the great things everyone has been saying about the movie, it sounds like a fantastic movie that I am sure I will throw myself into the second it starts. Unfortunately for me if a movie that speaks to me in that way has a super crazy sad part, I will probably have nightmares. Yes, I get nightmares from movies. Shut up.

The Fox up-fronts always take place down the block from my office, at the City Center. This year my sister and I left work right as they were letting out, and there was a massive crowd on 55th street making it next to impossible to get to the subway.

While we were trying to get through the crowd, we noticed 2 things: there were people handing out apples, and there were around half a dozen Holstein cows standing in the street. We asked around to find out what show these apples and cows were helping to promote, and someone told us it was the new J.J. Abrams show Fringe.

This was back in mid-May. I’ve now seen several commercials for the show and I’m definitely going to watch it. It kind of reminds me of the X-Files, which I loved, only with a blonde Scully and a stubbly Pacey from Dawson’s Creek.

However, there is something I still don’t understand - what the hell do apples and cows have to do with the show?

I find that interesting - Northern Ireland, Iceland, Ireland & Sweden are all very northern countries that experience little to no daylight in the winter months, which usually causes depression, yet here they are among the happiest nations in the world.

I’m pretty embarrassed to admit that I’ve never seen one episode of Arrested Development. Since I’m usually treated to a very loud, “You’ve never seen Arrested Development before?!?!?” whenever I admit this, I’ve bumped up the first season on my Netflix queue. I’ll be sure to post my observations.

One of the perks of taking care of my 94 year-old grandmother is watching copious amounts of old game shows.

Sunday we watched a never-ending marathon of The Family Feud. Richard Dawson had just finished making out with all the female contestants and everything was fine and dandy when he read the next category: Things that little boys hide under their beds.

I played along with my grandmother to keep her alert. I say comic books - at first I thought Playboys but I didn’t want to kill the old lady, plus Richard Dawson did say little boys.

Frogs was the first guess, and it was up there, #1 I think. Okay, never heard of any little boys hiding frogs under their beds before, but whatever, it was the 70’s.

The second guess was little girls. I say to my grandmother, what is wrong with this woman to guess that? Too much Aqua Net, apparently.

It was #3.

What the hell kind of psycho-killer-to-be little boys were hiding little girls under their beds in the 70’s?
